Kilim is a Turkish word, and no matter where I am in the East, everyone knows what such rugs look like: Kilim is plain weaving. The roots of the rug are in Iran, Afghanistan and the Caucasus region. Yoruk women have been making solid fabrics that are used as armrests, saddlebags, wall ornaments, door ornaments or floor coverings on small stalls for centuries. The Rug that will be used is an important part of the dowry. Thanks to the colors and motifs, connoisseurs can determine the origin of a rug not only of the country, but also of the nomadic tribe. Even in these plain braids there are antique pieces that are at least 80 years old. However, it is very difficult to determine the exact age and is a challenge even for specialists.
